Hi, and thanks for visiting my website. I have a new Barrington Stoke book just out. It's called A DARK TRADE and it's set in Victorian times and concerns a girl called Gina, an oprhan, who thinks that life might be better for her if she was a boy called George. It’s mysterious and rather spooky and has a whole lot of twists and turns – and a big surprise at the end. You may remember that this book was going to be called GEORGE AND GEORGINA, but – as sometimes happens - the name got changed along the way. My other Barrington Stoke teen book, RING OF ROSES, is set in the time of the Great Plague, 1665. Who will survive and who will die? Read the book and find out! My two books about the Great War (1914-18) are still selling well. The first of these is POPPY, the second POPPY IN THE FIELD. Do have a look at some of the reviews on Amazon if you’re unsure about whether you will like them or not (and I’ll just have to boast here by telling you that POPPY won the Historical Association’s Young Quills award for 2015). I’m working on several new ideas for books and hope to let you know more soon. I’m also visiting several schools and libraries this term, so if I’m coming to your school get your questions ready (and I don’t mean questions such as, ‘Do you like toast?’ which I was asked last term!) Please drop me a line if you want to comment on anything. I promise to write back!
